The Astralian Gold Coast’s greatest attractions are its natural ones including 70km of golden sandy beaches, Eco tourism throughout the Hinterland and National Parks, onshore and offshore fishing, diving and sailing. There are also two wildlife parks located at Currumbin and Burleigh. There are some fantastic beaches around here, and some attractive coves where you can relax and enjoy the wonderful weather. Coolangatta offers a wonderful patrolled beach with some excellent surfing spots. There are some great beach breaks all along the coast. At times these can carry some awesome waves especially when there are cyclones about.

The Australia Gold Coast in Queensland probably still the most popular area of Queensland’s east coast. As you go further north we have Caloundra, Noosa, Cairns and many places in between. The Government of Queensland engaged engineers from Delft University in the Netherlands to advise what to do about the beach erosion. By 2005 most of the recommendations of the 1971 Delft Report had been implemented. In this area the beaches are renouned as some of Queenslands best.
